Safety Information:

 Your Health Is Our Concern

We use every safety precaution while providing care.  We follow OSHA guidelines, have an AED in the office, and are trained in CPR.  We also employ universal precautions using masks, gloves, and protective eyeware.  We use preservative and epinepherine free anesthetics, and we follow the IAOMT guidelines for the removal of metal dental work.  We are always willing to work with you if you have any specific safety concerns.

OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  It issues specific guidelines and safety rules for dental offices to follow.  Compliance is required by law.

CPR and AED are resucitative procedures that we have been trained to perform in case of a medical emergency.  CPR is an emergency breathing and heart support technique to sustain a patient while waiting for emergency technicians to arrive.  An AED is a defibrillating device that can be used to restart the heart.  The AED was brought into our office in 2006.

Universal Precautions have been employed for many years.  The use of these precautions protect you and our staff from the possible spread of disease.

Anesthesia

Our anesthetic does not have epinepherine, a vasosconstricor, or preservatives.  This lessens the chance that you may suffer a reaction from these additives.

IAOMT

The IAOMT is a professional organization consisting of Dentists and Medical Doctors who study and research toxic materials and how those materials affect health.  They use research from respected universities as well as other research organizations to set up guidelines for safe practices.
